Full Job Description:
It’s a great time to create a new product on Yelp. We transform the business from a simple hotel review site to a service offering that enhances the experience of interacting with all types of businesses, from hotels to entrepreneurs. Creating these end-to-end experiences presents an interesting business and business challenge. Marketing and core products are key to Yelp’s growth – leveraging existing media products and creating new ones that reach all segments of the market is key to our success. The Media Product team is now a team of 15 skilled media service managers spread across North America and Europe, from middle service managers to senior executives and MOCs. We are looking for a leader to define product strategy for key media offerings and to drive ongoing financial planning. This role includes such things as leading our advertising and promotion strategy, product targeting for advertising and comprehensive page promotion methods, partnerships and product portfolio renewal, among others. This opportunity is very remote and does not require you to be in any state in the United States. We welcome applicants from anywhere in the United States. We would love for you to apply, even if you don’t think you meet all the requirements for this promotion. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just people who tick all the boxes. What to do:
Build, coach and mentor, and a team of world-class media product managers.
Lead product strategy around some of Yelp’s most critical systems, including marketing and pacing, ad targeting, and more. Collaborate with company leaders to drive strategic progress and collaborate and act on vision and strategy.
Collaborate with leaders from other teams in Biz Ops, Product, Eng, and GTM to set company strategies and tie goals to campaign maps. Promotion of team development through promotion of educational opportunities and job opportunities.
Works with other functions such as finance and human resources to ensure the organization is set up for success by managing budgets, headcount and payroll practices.
