What to do:
Translate abstract business language into mathematical problems and identify appropriate modeling methods (machine learning, prediction, mathematical optimization, reinforcement learning, etc.).
Collaborate with product teams to identify and develop business opportunities and shape the team’s strategy. Work with software engineers to develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions that leverage the performance of algorithms that you and other applied scientists already have.
Collaborate with scientists to determine appropriate strategies (emulation, A/B or MVT testing, field research, etc.) to support business results. Independently manage and direct applied science projects.

Record track record of value creation for organizations through monitoring and algorithm development. Deep learning process knowledge and extensive experience in traditional machine learning industries.
Industrial experience in mathematical optimization (mixed integer linear programming, dynamic programming, etc.) in important areas, such as online advertising, price and finance optimization, inventory optimization, control management, etc. Industry experience with large-scale experiments, preferably involving complex network effects.
Expertise in Python including pandas, Matplotlib, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost and statsmodels. Adequate software skills to work effectively with software engineers.
