Full Job Description:
Give prescriptions to patients in the hospital system and register the sale when you return to the store. Recommends Walgreens products and services to patients when appropriate. Achieves targeted company marketing goals to help drive company growth and results.
In compliance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists the pharmacist in performing other pharmacy department duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
It is responsible for operational hospital systems to access patient and drug information and the prescription process. Assists and directs pharmacy supervisors in the operation of the pharmacy system and cashiers in pharmacy accounting functions.
Design and deliver unique and exciting customer experiences. Customer experience
Attract customers and patients by greeting them and helping with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Models and shares best practices for customers with all teams to deliver a unique and enjoyable customer experience, including social behaviors (e.g. greeting, looking, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service characteristics ( for example, helping, identifying needs, serving until satisfied, etc.).
Builds strong relationships with clients and develops relationships with case managers, nurses and other clinical staff.
Work:
Under the supervision of a pharmacist, assist in pharmacy practice in accordance with state, federal and corporate laws. Review and adhere to Walgreen Co.’s Code of Conduct. Pharmacy. Performs duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist and Store Manager, including using the pharmacy system to enter patient and medication information, ensuring that information is entered correctly, and filling prescriptions by picking up , counting and dispensing medications, verifying that medications are correct and checking interactions. Assists pharmacists in organizing and managing work processes. Reports prescription errors directly to the pharmacist on duty and follows company policies and procedures related to clinical errors and quality improvement programs.
Strongly supports the Walgreen Co policy. regarding the distribution of good faith during all existing prescription distribution programs. Accountable and responsible for recording all sales related to assigned accounts, collects and manages funds as required. Brings the customer to the OTC aisle when possible to help find products. Handle phone calls that do not require the attention of a pharmacist, including those of doctors.
Processes (corrects and submits) manuals for third party prescribing activities in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. Assists and supports the pharmaceutical department in inventory management activities, such as ordering, shipping, tracking and storing pharmaceutical shipments. Maintains knowledge of the company’s asset protection procedures and files statements for warehouse overages (goods received, but not invoiced), shortages (invoiced, but not received), ordering errors or damaged goods related to Rx drugs. Assists the pharmacy manager and pharmacy staff in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the local health community, including physicians, nurses and other health care providers, through ‘to explain and educate health associations, retirement homes, nursing homes and other organizations to improve growth opportunities.
Assists in operations and operations by ensuring that the pharmacy department is stocked with adequate, clean, safe and orderly food in condition and appearance. Prescribes and interacts with patients as part of the clinical process. Connects the patient with the sales representative over the phone to complete the consultation. Translate patient relationships into growing results scripts for business.
Communicates with the manager and keeps a record of any questions, concerns or complaints from patients or hospital staff. Records all information necessary for document processing (eg, delivery receipts, customer identification numbers, etc.) Collects and records receipt forms and submits daily cash receipts.
Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with colleagues. Performs special duties and other duties as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification through PTCB or ExCPT training programs and/or state-required certification/registration. He attends training and completes the manager’s requested PPL and earns continuing education credits.
Maintain knowledge and skills in health and pharmacy, including the latest news and developments.
Basic Qualifications
At least three months of experience working in a marketing environment requiring the achievement of specific sales goals or at least three months of experience promoting/selling health care or health programs.
Three months of work experience as a supervisor in a store or hospital. PTCB or ExCPT certification
Experience develops ways to achieve goals with little or no care, depending on oneself to develop relationships, achieve goals, and decide when the motivation of words is important.
Valid driver’s license. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
