What to do
Download and receive incoming furniture orders that require manual handling of large, heavy goods. Use tracking technology to record important box-level information, including equipment location, quantity and warehouse location.
Carefully review the process control system to ensure all orders are received correctly and details are provided for any overage/congestion/damage issues. Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
Select deliveries from inventory and sort them by truck and stop number. Provide direct input into existing user applications and make recommendations for improvements based on your day-to-day experience.
Be a vocal contributor to the group. Works well with peers and managers.
Identify the most efficient way to accomplish assigned tasks and ask clarifying questions when appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned.
Have training and are required to work in other departments
What you will need
Must be comfortable lifting up to 75 pounds frequently. stock does not help and in moving 150+ lbs. unaided or by a group lift. Must be able to work on the warehouse floor 8 hours per day or more.
The work ethic is strong and flexible. Comfort through research technology.
Experience in Distribution or Logistics is a plus. Work experience in advanced climbing is a plus.
Able to read and understand English to ensure your safety and that of those working around you. Must be 18 years old.
