What Are Yo Doing:
Establishing a technology foundation for the infrastructure and platform is critical to Walmart’s success at scale. Our team builds and manages the infrastructure that supports the organizations technology. This includes data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are backed by a simple and robust construction to ensure a safe and seamless relationship between employees and the customer experience across retail, digital channels and distribution centers.
What Will You Do:
- Define, design and create data access layers for SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Work as a team member to ensure team collaboration.
- Effective troubleshooting of application and production issues.
- Fundamental to the analysis of complex problems with multiple parties, networks, hardware and software related to measurement and performance.
- We work with public cloud database service providers to provide valuable and useful information for business-critical applications.
- Having a problem and providing a solution is difficult.
To carry:
- 8+ years of software development on back-end systems and services related to data access (SQL and NoSQL)
- General knowledge and in-depth expertise of Java-based technologies is essential. Database technology skills (SQL and NoSQL)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- In-depth knowledge of deployment automation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Nomad, etc.)
- General knowledge of database technology, distributed systems and related issues.
- Powerful Java/Scala machine configuration. Experience building large-scale real-time services.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Azure SQL, MySQL) and data structures, distributed NoSQL databases (Cassandra, CosmosDB, Spanner, etc.)
- Design, build and build great projects with great teams. Git or similar version control tool
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
- Good understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (Jenkins, GitOps, etc.)
- Good understanding of testing standards (JUnit, Cucumber or similar) and concepts (CHO, Integration, Units, etc.)
- Good understanding of Big Data platforms
- Design and production of information
