As a Distribution Manager, you…
- Demonstrate leadership consistent with Starbucks mission and values. Stimulate the participation, development and performance of all team members.
- Create and maintain a cohesive, positive and clean work environment in accordance with the established safety plan. Work cross-functionally to effectively and timely communicate company, plant and site information to managers, colleagues and work groups, including managers, leaders and partners.
- We support all design and distribution goals and objectives. Keep managers informed of team performance while removing ads and being aware of hangs and hangs.
- Use time recording software to complete and record timely and accurate associate information (eg vacation). We work closely and collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Enable change management in a fast-paced workplace where leaders need to be dynamic and versatile. Manage partner training in accordance with company and government security regulations and standards.
- Monitor throughput, volume changes and operational effort to ensure efficient distribution. Bring in the right people to meet new business needs and changing volume.
- Monitor volume forecasts, performance metrics, and turnaround times to meet customer needs and ensure all shipments are delivered on time. We use KAIZEN and LEAN processes and technologies to improve the level of safety, efficiency and service for our customers.
- Complete work efficiently and accurately to ensure customer needs are met in a safe and healthy work environment. We demonstrate and understand security as our core value and adhere to key security principles outlined in our security solutions. Encourage and inspire others to do the same.
- Understand and follow established safety procedures and follow all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, lockout tag). Act as a safety officer (e.g. CPR/first aid certification, participation in safety committees, road safety inspections).
- We support food safety, legality and quality programs. Maintain product quality by following good manufacturing practices, food safety precautions, product specifications and quality procedures.
- Use analytics tools to monitor and record quality metrics. We perform other duties as needed to support our business goals and Starbucks mission and values.
