Starting salary of $ 28.88 / hour and above the base level at $ 67.11 / hour: salary increase based on advanced level and additional compensation for language skills, administrative positions and international travel. Special Training: To begin your career, you will begin with a six-week training in Houston, TX to learn United’s customer service and safety standards. Upon successful completion of this training, we will be happy to welcome you on board as a full-time employee, and you will be assigned to one of our seven bases – Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco or Washington Dulles. (No moving money provided). United offers a daily stipend of $140/week, plus accommodation, breakfast and lunch after training

Eligibility:
20 years or older at the time of application
High school diploma or equivalent; 2 or more years of university education preferred
Service industry experience (such as customer, retail, hospitality, food, aviation, security, social services, healthcare/post medical or military)
Effective communication is critical during high-stress situations such as air strikes, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, extreme weather and chaos. Professional appearance, good dress code, and willingness to follow guidelines regarding clothing, hair, tattoos, and piercings
Ability to use electronic devices effectively (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.). for completing the required tasks
Possession of a US passport or foreign passport with appropriate visa and unrestricted international travel eligibility.
Proficiency in English; A second language such as Hebrew, Hindi, Dutch and German is an asset. To apply for this position, you must be able to read and speak Italian at a native proficiency level
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects (such as bags and onto overhead objects or out of windows) and push and pull carts drink (up to 250 lbs).
The ability to sit in a jump seat is assigned to the seat belt and the shoulder belt. Expect to serve and/or sell food and beverages in a diligent and professional manner.
Flight trainees must successfully demonstrate egress drilling in water (pools) during training. Other requirements are as stated in the flight attendant job description (see here).
