Full Job Description:
The team manager responsible for the mobile infrastructure team will need to demonstrate expertise in fault management and monitoring to avoid recurring incidents, infrastructure management, training and development. This role will also include managing a team of direct equipment maintenance personnel. for the monitoring of equipment availability and performance and will develop and maintain maintenance and planning programs on site, scheduling, machinery and equipment used in the department. The candidate will also have interpersonal, organizational and management skills, demonstrating their ability to be an innovator and a change agent. what to do
Create a system to ensure that preventative maintenance is 100% timely and effective for all devices and equipment.
Manage preventive maintenance and repair work on vehicles, racks, electromechanical and pneumatic automotive equipment. Daily production equipment coverage, including quick response to broken equipment to reduce downtime and increase productivity
Perform engineering and manufacturing support functions including 5s, material handling improvements, production line design and safety procedures
Create a positive working environment for non-profit employees to be productive and committed to Tesla’s mission, core values and culture.
Work closely with functional teams and department heads to resolve concerns and issues affecting part quality, production efficiency, work cell ergonomics, and equipment maintenance. Review and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrent failures (RCCA).
Participate in electrical and mechanical code compliance, safety and robust manufacturing plans. Manage and help develop new processes and schedules.
Support Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives. Works with engineering and manufacturing to ensure maintenance and scheduling instructions are always up-to-date
Develop new maintenance instructions (standard work) for equipment replacement or new equipment, and train maintenance teams
Supports a 24/7 production schedule (some weekends and holidays required)
Manage projects involving multiple departments and/or external contractors.
Provide clear reporting of unplanned disaster events and critical infrastructure. Provide support to ensure effective installation and replacement of all equipment.
What to bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Military or equivalent experience
3+ years of supervisory and/or leadership experience
In 3 years of extensive experience in troubleshooting and fixing industrial equipment – faults and damage
Ability to manage workload while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment
Be detail oriented with strong record keeping and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to use CMMS (computerized management system) including monitoring, scheduling and creating maintenance work orders and schedules.
Must be proficient in common office software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc.). Able to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and schematics.
Project management experience
Good written and communication and people management skills
