Join our team as a senior threat detection engineer and take the lead in developing custom detection and automation of investigative services for fraud and abuse in the Target guest experience. In this role, you’ll work with a team of talented engineers and researchers to confidently solve complex problems, while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology. We are looking for qualified developers with experience in one or more of the following areas: Java / Kotlin development, Python and PySpark, kafka and API. We spend our time analyzing data, writing streamlining tools to detect fraud and abuse, and automated prevention. Our services protect directly from Target and our visitors. About you:
Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Experience working with Hive, Elasticsearch, postgres or other database technologies
Experience with Apache Spark or other streaming or batch processing systems
Experience in detecting cyber threats or fraud
Demonstrated understanding of common web application technologies and basic network knowledge
Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, reasoning and adaptive learning
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Willingness to work in a team oriented environment
