Full Job Description:

The infrastructure engineering team focuses on building comprehensive, scalable infrastructure for Starbucks owned, franchised and franchised stores. This project will focus on building infrastructure infrastructure by leveraging the GitOps framework across multiple infrastructure domains. Help us extend and leverage our capabilities across network, compute, virtualization, and containerized services. Prior experience with full automation, CI/CD, Git, Python, Golang, and Kubernetes is essential. Familiarity with cloud computing design principles, cloud computing solutions, and API development is highly desirable.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Develops software solutions for business problems. Supports design and code standards. Create solutions that are safe, sustainable, renewable, accessible and self-healing. Participating in the solution design process: gathering the requirements and adjusting the backlog, shaping and directing the process, assisting in project initiation, assisting in project planning and development. Provides insight and direction and progress. Automated test coverage based on platform capabilities and requirements. Establishes and maintains ongoing acceptance testing on applicable platforms and participates in process analysis and integration efforts. Work with fluid processes and processes in the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Platform Management Services

Partners with cross-functional teams, such as infrastructure, security, architecture, QA, and core development teams, to drive strategies and solutions to ensure solutions are stable, secure, and maintainable. Deepen vendor relationships to understand and influence vendor offerings and roadmaps, improve support capabilities, and gain insight into technology trends.
Production support for the application

Waiting for a support call for application resources. Help create and report key performance indicators (KPI) on things like application performance.
Creates and maintains documentation that supports training, placement and work processes.

Basic Qualifications

2-3 years of industry experience working in software development
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Knowledge and experience in the design and development of complex software systems.
Working understanding of application architecture, infrastructure, security concepts and technology implementation. A deep understanding of the platform and application is essential, including established APIs, system functionality, process flow, underlying data models, business logic, and application design.
1 to 2 years of experience in Go and/or Python development. Ability to work efficiently while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.

Able to develop and deploy cloud software and infrastructure (AWS or Azure) in an automated manner.
