We have an exciting opportunity for a “hands-on”, data-driven senior manager who enjoys the challenge of collaborating to deliver critical results on our Disney parks, experiences and products. The team is responsible for supporting the technology product lines behind the beautiful theme parks, shopping malls and modern hotels in US and international parks. The group develops technologies such as payments, inventory management, marketing services, and more! As a senior technical manager – technical program management, you will work closely with several teams – Engineering, product management, finance and operations to define methods and requirements and measure performance.

Main Functions:

Leads capability roadmaps and defines operational excellence for programs and project management teams.
We create a vision of program and project management that improves our process and our overall performance. Influencers, coaches and mentors are beyond the scope of the team
Provides customer and management support through program/project management.
Coach frontline, project managers and program managers on all aspects of the work life cycle and project management training. Acts as a liaison between business staff and the implementation team, communicates appropriately and effectively with colleagues, customers and supervisors, ensuring service levels and timeliness any delay, potential situation or concern that may affect the outcome of the project.
Coordinates events/meetings at the executive level with the executive director. Creates and manages project change control procedures as required to ensure project team members are working within the change approval process.
Monitors available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can best be allocated. Reassessing existing equipment to identify service equipment shortages and shortages.
Establishes clear programs/projects, ensures team members have the necessary tools, and provides timely feedback. Effectively communicates portfolio status, issues and risks to senior management.
Organizes regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping in mind the needs and interests of the stakeholders at all times. Work closely with engineering leaders to maintain in-depth knowledge of product capabilities and to ensure that all communications between the program/program and stakeholders are accurate.

Skills, knowledge, experience, training required:

Four-year college diploma in information technology, business or related field or relevant work experience. Five to seven years of experience in project management and program management, we manage diverse teams and complex projects.
Knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) standards. Competencies in project management methodologies including Project Management Institute (PMI) PMBOK and Agile.
Professional program management tools and software packages. Experience in managing agents.
Experience with consulting managers and individual contributors (TPM)
Ability to establish project management systems. Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other information technology departments as well as with customers and functional departments. Ability to obtain support from senior management and other departments.
Experience in integrating complex or disparate data and information.
