The Starbucks experience begins in our bakery where we have a dedicated team of professionals and support system teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, baking, maintenance, engineering and logistics. This role contributes to the success of Starbucks by providing technical skills in distribution or working in the warehouse and hothouse. Troubleshoot problems with material handling systems or production equipment. Work with project teams to solve complex production or distribution problems and start up. Coordinates productivity improvement initiatives. Form and act in accordance with Starbucks guidelines.
As a Plantation Specialist, you will:
Anticipates changes to the business needs of customers and supports and implements technology strategies to meet them. Build effective support for technology initiatives.
Communicate with internal and external contacts regarding status and details to ensure successful achievement of assigned work objectives. Have and drive design tool changes for safety and reliability work.
Must be able to make organizational change recommendations showing calculations and analysis data to support necessary changes. Must have good communication skills to facilitate organizational change with engineering, maintenance and manufacturing teams.
Strong CAD and project experience required. Follow up and lead actions based on analysis of forecast improvement data.
Develop procedures and references that support the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. Communicate with internal and external parties to ensure current and accurate support documents are available.
Work with the maintenance planner to support the plant’s CMMS and equipment management systems. Compatible with network CMMS and support of five-year network maintenance plan.
Analyze the data to determine the most feasible areas based on OEE and resource needs. Interact with clients and stakeholders to discuss scope and PM approach.
Identify the necessary equipment to ensure the frequency and amount of PM is appropriate. Review the PM office schedule, scope, information/resource system, PM performance, and document costs.
Act as a corporate liaison during off-site activities related to network maintenance initiatives. Manage and direct a production, maintenance or distribution team so that they are independent.
Identifies ways to remove obstacles and solve problems to improve team performance. Strengthen partner support for strategic initiatives.
Train partners in the use of new processes, procedures and resources. He works as a technical resource in the warehouse, production center or pilot plant environment regarding processes, systems and equipment. Solving problems. Provide recommendations for efficient use and installation of equipment.
Work with project partners to analyze and solve complex problems. Organizes and implements plans to improve processes and productivity.
Supports system input functions. Provide training, guidance and direction to those who work and those who work in support of the preventive maintenance process.
Train partners on network changes and CMMS upgrades
Trains and works with instructor in preventive maintenance inspections, parts replacement and troubleshooting
Work with education experts to develop departmental training modules for supervision and performance. Liaising with OEM and engineering to ensure documentation and procedures are up-to-date.
Develop training and reference for individual assets using internal and external SMEs.
Identify and eliminate knowledge and skill gaps. Communicate with partners and stakeholders regarding changes and improvements in plant and asset systems.
Serves as a technical resource in the plant and network environment regarding processes, systems and equipment. Solving problems.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations for efficient installation, maintenance and use of equipment. Work with project partners to analyze and solve complex problems.
Organizes and implements plans to improve processes and productivity. Supports system input functions.
Responsible for management and/or implementation of food safety, regulatory and quality programs. Develop processes including safety, food security, quality and regulatory compliance programs.
