ILM will open a studio in Mumbai in the fall of 2022. We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer who demonstrates the spirit of innovation, creativity, production excellence and dedication to making great movies that define ILM. The Network Operations Manager oversees the installation, maintenance, upgrades and support of all network hardware, firewalls, load balancers, VPN systems and all other devices and services in the facilities from Lucasfilm and ILM, nationally and internationally. This position also develops and manages the design and operation of network services to ensure the effective and efficient use and completion of network services for use by a wide range of people. They will work both in development projects and in support services.
They will use traditional IT skills while employing a modern DevOps approach to ensure the availability of services across multiple sites that provide the critical IT foundation for successful video production operations, profit and business visibility.
What Are You Doing:
Acts as senior technology leader to ensure adherence to best practices and project goals.
Provide level 3 internal support for the implementation of technology in IT operations. Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose advanced issues. Monitor your bug status and support issues that need to be fixed. From a global perspective, we use quality monitoring, maintenance and design services to bring the efficiency and reliability of your IT infrastructure to the highest level.
- We work closely with other technology teams to ensure that IT standards and technologies are aligned with Lucasfilm and corporate technology and security guidelines.
- Maintain information and procedures for the organization’s critical IT services.
- Mentor other network engineers to expand your knowledge of multiple systems, automation, and DevOps techniques. Provide excellent customer service including clear verbal and written communication.
- You must be available on your mobile phone to participate in the Teams Call rotation during working hours and after hours.
- When time permits, we participate in our global IT team, including development and support activities, as well as regular meetings and planning.
- Work closely with IT, PE, IS and R&D teams around the world.

Bachelor’s degree in research or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience as a computer network engineer, preferably in the visual or computer animation industry, creating and supporting communications in a cross-platform work environment.
