Full Job Description:
The “Americas Utility Energy Team” is primarily focused on developing state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage (BESS) applications for customers including utilities, independent power producers and renewable energy producers. Projects are typically large-scale BESS deployments that provide continuous power connectivity, capacity, or network services. This is a multi-faceted role that requires a solid knowledge of the Tesla family of electronic products and a solid business knowledge of the energy storage industry. The Sales Manager will lead from ideation to contract execution with support from Tesla’s marketing and support organizations. This role involves a mix of internal and external management functions. Internally, you must collaborate with various teams from engineering, finance, law, and other disciplines. Externally, relationships with customers are built and managed, contracts are negotiated and concluded.

what are you doing
- Manage a project pipeline of short, medium, and long-term opportunities across multiple states, project types, and markets.
- Lead the sales cycle, including initiating transactions, managing project development, negotiating contracts, and closing target product quantities and/or revenue each year (bearing quotas).
- Manage the technical-economic analysis of opportunities, including the identification of associated risks, the optimization of technical and commercial parameters and the comparison of the value of Tesla to the competition.
- Report to management when needed
- We create responsive solutions for the most complex electronic tenders and deliver the best and most accurate proposals to our clients.
Carry Out:
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of professional experience in the field of renewable energies and/or electrical energy
- Sales or business development (customer facing)
- Working knowledge of battery systems, renewable energy and business plans
- Experience in negotiating performance contracts for storage or renewable energy.
- Cross-functional project management experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills in complex pricing models, storage/reclamation project economics, technology economics optimization, quantitative risk analysis, etc.
- Excellent communication skills – internally and externally oriented. Good English, both written and spoken. • Ms Suite Capt.
