Working within the Center of Expertise (Item CoE), you will work to develop, advise and train the world’s best methods and reports to data science professionals and teams. This includes governance and tracking the use of best practices and reporting CoE goals related to planning. The Senior Item Data Process Analyst will also be responsible for representing the CoE in cross-functional process development projects and discussions in collaboration with Item Data Managers/Analysts/Specialists, Product Teams and partners. Finally, the systems analyst will work with the CoE executive team on strategy and objectives for the entire global team (Minneapolis and Target in India).
Main Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Development of the world’s best methods and process support. Collaborate with the CoE lead team and other cross-functional partners (e.g. product team, marketing, IM Ops, Target and India) to develop and improve best practices for the global CoE. The Data Systems Analyst is expected to be an expert in all CoE systems and processes, as well as team support and interaction with the CoE. The System Analyst will also work closely with Pyramid Aligned Senior Data Analysts to determine the impact of the Nuanced Pyramid requirements on the overall system.
2. Training & Communication. Collaborate and train best practices or coordinate improvements with global CoEs. Duo a class-style learning group and answer questions related to the CoE framework. Act as an ongoing consultant and point of contact for object data professionals for questions related to best practices and system usage. He is also responsible for managing new employee training programs for new data professionals and maintenance teams.
3. Prepare for equipment and technology. Facilitates CoE requirements through process improvement and technical/procedural support. Work with product and service teams to ensure efficient execution and high data quality. Owners of SharePoint projects and continuous improvement of overall CoE knowledge management. In addition, this role will follow up with data managers/audits for complaints or process needs.
4. Work with partners who will advise on the CoE process. Develop an in-depth knowledge of organizations and partnership processes. Advice and implications for the CoE works with partner groups and collaborates with data managers, such as planning experts and working groups. Support partners’ focus on reporting as needed to assist in process development. 5. Liaising with Item CoE leaders in the development of global goals and strategies. Help determine goal metrics for global CoE initiatives and use reporting development to drive adoption and goal improvement. Coordinate the development of broader goals and strategies in collaboration with the CoE leadership team. The main duties of this position are described in this job description.
