Within the same Core Operating Systems, ensure that the operating system cannot be separated from the characteristics of any device as a whole. In fact, the team strives to create a unified operating system that integrates hardware, software and apps into a single Apple experience. Your dedication and collaboration will help build emerging technologies, such as iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. By creating these unique and complete user experiences, you will continue to maintain and advance the quality that people expect from Apple devices. The Core Platform team within Apple’s Core OS organization is looking for a hard-working and motivated manager to lead the Hardware-Aware Software team. The team oversees the entire software delivery process, from silicon design to mass production to support multiple hardware platforms including iPhone, iPad, Mac, AppleWatch and AppleTV. You will work closely with the SoC design team to help define the role of new silicon, overseeing the design and delivery of SecureROM and Secure Boot, as well as the implementation of all new ARM-based silicon and the development of new technologies. You will review the design and configuration of all new Apple hardware (iPhone / iPad / Mac / AppleWatch / AppleTV, etc.), provide platform device drivers, and help debug and solve prototype and production problems. This is a great multi-tasking and remote work, and you will be directly involved in the decisions that affect any future Apple devices. This role requires extensive technical leadership and hands-on experience working with silicon and hardware teams, as well as a deep understanding of non-commercial software. You are a highly motivated individual who creates a dynamic team environment that solves problems in new and innovative ways.
Experience managing a software development team
Direct experience in bootloader development, device driver development, kernel and software development technologies. Understanding the SoC architecture
