Work:

Become an i18n evangelist at Netflix, increasing the i18n IQ of internal development and design teams
Drive through our engineering department using ICU and CLDR standards
Download the i18n road map and share it with all relevant people
Work with our product managers to ensure product business decisions are consistent with i18n best practices
Provide technical guidance to product and engineering partners, using your knowledge of international best practices and standards
Worked as an embedded engineer in various product teams helping them internationalize code, deliver actionable content and improve localization.
Add backend services, frontend applications and automation applications as required
Help implement i18n tools for hosting and encoding or build time
Develop, maintain, test, debug and deploy the i18n library and development tools

Required Skills:

Demonstrated experience in i18n engineering, related to web development and implementation of i18n systems.
In-depth knowledge of software design and architecture, data structures and algorithms
Experience building scalable applications with high availability and performance
Interest in contributing to open projects (ideally ICU and CLDR)
Clear communication and presentation skills
Extensive knowledge of yaml and json, deep knowledge of Java and integrated i18n best practices for each. Node.js experience is a plus
Extensive experience with JUnit or TestNG
Strong experience using standard development tools, web services and advanced scripting skills
Proven expertise in exporting local strings that can be stored in databases
Experience with I18n tools and automation skills
Experience integrating enterprise-level planning tools into building systems to support ongoing regional planning processes
In-depth knowledge of Unicode design, ICU4J, CLDR and other common i18n standards.
