The goal of the Cloud Network Engineering team is to create a network infrastructure that can scale quickly with our service needs and product plans. We achieve this goal by creating tools and services that improve network availability, scalability and security. Our domain’s capabilities are divided into two main areas: cloud computing and networking. Our mission is to expand streaming services and support the use cases of our expanded Studio, Gaming and Animation businesses. We achieve these goals through our mission to promote, manage, optimize and increase Netflix’s network and inventory resources.
Network services and information:
Network Services & Group Insights focuses on the Network-as-a-service experience – the flexible, seamless, high-level connectivity abstraction that other engineers rely on. To achieve this, we are completely rethinking how we interact with developers, integrating and expanding our understanding & DNS platforms, and creating new services on top of the Central InfraAPI (K8S). We are in a unique position to partner with other infra teams and developers, providing broad opportunities for industry impact. Cloud Gate
Cloud Gateway provides consistent traffic management reporting across the Netflix environment and features Netflix’s open source Zuul API gateway. The group is responsible for the design, development and operation of the gateway for media and studio applications which is the gateway for all airlines to access the cloud and helps ensure that more than 200 million people and -get a fast, reliable and secure experience. . The team owns Pushy, a platform for pushing information from the cloud to our millions of customers in the field. Self-Service Processing (SSR) provides the ability to provide policy and worship support for a variety of activities to apply for entry into Zuul. As part of this group, you will have many of the features that Zuul offers, including everything from networking and service protocols to high-level product features that directly affect the experience. This service will have a broad impact and will allow you to interact with one device, one product group and one cloud resource. Service network
The Service Network team is focused on creating a consistent, seamless, secure, and flexible infrastructure for internal service discovery and communication at Netflix. To that end, we’re moving our current SDK-based communication protocol to a mesh of embedded automotive services, and future-proofing service discovery as the Netflix environment continues to expand. They work with other Netflix developer resources and experience teams, creating development resources that have a seamless developer experience.
Skills and experience are essential
Previous experience and technical skills in Java, C++, Go, Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
Experience building and operating reliable distributed systems in cloud environments
Strong understanding of network fundamentals (common principles and their applications)
A passion for technology, positive thinking, the ability to delve into non-technical areas and solve difficult problems
