Work:
As a full-time Senior Product Engineer in a growth-level team, you’ll be responsible for developing new Netflix products step by step to help Netflix grow its customer base and increase revenue. You will build strategy, improve the product experience through testing (A/B testing), work on personal experiences, and work in an amazing team of colleagues, including teammates from product management , design, data science, customer insights and engineering. On the backend, you’ll optimize the product experience by working with Android, iOS, Web and TV UI engineers. On the front end, you’ll develop a product experience using email as a canvas using existing internal messaging systems. You will work with engineers on various back-end systems, from basic functions such as billing, payments and accounts, to infrastructure, customization and content management. These working groups bring millions of dollars in annual revenue to Netflix.
This is a highly visible service that allows you to have a big impact on the growth of Netflix. Required skills
Experience developing customer-facing applications through testing processes such as A/B testing
Expertise in Java or other object-oriented languages
Prior experience with JavaScript and/or modeling
Experience in front-end web development (CSS, SASS/LESS, current JS frameworks)
Experience writing SQL queries on big data platforms (SparkSQL, Presto, Hive, etc.)
Design intelligent and scalable APIs
Development of reusable and model frameworks
It’s good to have skills
Experience building back-end systems to enable front-end experiences
Experience working in a product development team
The home experience goes through various channels like Push, SMS, messaging apps and in-product messaging experiences.
Experience with local systems and ICU settings
Experience building HTML and/or AMP responsive and interactive email development experience
Experience building large and flexible gRPC projects
