As Netflix grows, the Audio Visual (AV) Builds team within Netflix Technology Services (N-Tech) is looking for an inclusive, motivated and talented leader to join and lead the AV Builds team. . . The ideal candidate enjoys leading a high-performing team while building strong working relationships and delivering unique, world-class products that represent the Netflix brand. AV Development’s team works to design, build and support high-quality collaboration spaces. These slots are available in many areas of Netflix, from corporate, movie, and gaming slots, and in many different locations. As an AV Build Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the AV Builds team, from design/consultation to execution. This role should focus on recruiting and developing the Amers AV team, and helping to plan to take the team to the next level. You will lead the creative process of our partners and vendors to help, design, manage and execute the Netflix build. You will use metrics to measure success, customer satisfaction, make strategic decisions, and help the team grow. You will liaise with cross-functional teams, company executives and other N-Tech regional leaders to ensure a consistent and exceptional AV experience across all of our facilities. The Creative AV Manager is a hands-on leader with strong technical skills and the ability to flex their skills and participate in a variety of projects as needed. You will also own and lead various vendor/partner relationships, such as event venues, production vendors, and digital event platforms. Employee Responsibilities:
Lead and adapt the Amers AV team building for the needs of Netflix
Cultivate and promote the Netflix culture within a thriving AV team
Manage relationships with industry partners (third parties, technology partners, etc.)
Help develop processes and collaborate with other team members
Hiring, training, development of AV team building
Have a critical perspective when it comes to communication and team leadership
Work closely with business partners to ensure flawless production
Manage relationships with suppliers, contracts, leases and production materials
Purchasing and Asset Management
Provide metrics on team performance and areas for desired growth
Collaborate with partners on global initiatives
Recommended Experience:
Strong experience in coordinating logistics and resource needs (typical when working internationally)
Experience reading and/or creating CAD plans and designs
A strong AV technology background focuses on the use of various AV technologies such as audio conversion (Dante) and mixing, projectors, video walls, surrounds, etc. Strong project management skills.
Knowledge of product management principles and experience applying them
Several years of experience in managing audience groups, especially in capacity building. Experience deploying and maintaining AV technology in new office buildings, working closely with real estate, facilities and project management teams.
Strong supplier management skills. Expertise in cloud conferencing platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, etc.
Experience in budget/marketing and asset management efforts and support teams. Organize an efficient and dynamic team-oriented team with leadership experience in managing employees, general talent and/or vendor support.
Duo, train and promote individual contributors in a scalable format. Experience building and/or leading an inclusive and diverse workforce.
Live event production experience is a plus. Studio and/or production experience a plus.
Gaming experience a plus.
