The tax organization is looking for a tax analyst to join the group that supports all aspects of income tax, with a focus on providing income and tax compliance in the United States. The successful candidate will be able to manage complex work processes involving multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships within the wider tax and financial industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines and maintain deadlines, and a passion for simplifying data.
This position will be based in Los Gatos (not interchangeable with other locations) and will report to the General Manager, Income Tax. The expectation is to be in the office 2 days a week.
Work
Income Tax Compliance – Preparation of annual tax returns to support employment documentation and tax calculations for federal and state filings. Organizing and reviewing all elements of the budget calendar and coordinating with partners or the end of the acceptance. Preparation of timely responses to federal and state income tax notices
Tax Payments – Support for the preparation of quarterly tax payments for federal and state purposes
Prepare month-end reports summarizing tax payments and additional payments to verify data linkage and general ledger.
Prepare critical monthly end-of-month tax closes, journal entries, summaries and change audits.
Prepare annual and quarterly tax preparation and necessary tax returns for the company’s quarterly and annual financial statements.
Federal, State, and Local Income Tax Audits – assist with information requests and preparation for tax audits
Support the evolution of tax reporting services, tax technology tools and technology upgrades
SOX compliance through timely documentation and implementation of controls
Prepare and review tax-related notes
Work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams
