Full Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled photo editor to join the Photo & AV Studio team as a professional photographer. This role will support the visual shopping experience on Netflix products across all user interfaces (UI) on the product platforms, as well as working with non-product support teams for other visual needs such as of a broad plan. Your primary role will be to select live images and video source files of film and video content and deliver creative content strategies from title to title for our LATAM franchise. This position will work closely with the global team of UCAN, EMEA and APAC as a partner and representative for LATAM. Activities include employment in regional product development, photography and AV industries, and media groups in Latin America; Therefore, the ability to effectively find connections to drive successful implementation processes and influence global trends is essential.

Functions:

  • Image placement for vertical components. Includes series, feature films, documentaries, movies, stand-up specials and reality shows.
  • Save images for episodic items (thumbnails) in the project. Image storage for short clips and content added to the service.
  • Quality control (QC) of assets to ensure quality across product platforms and media outlets.
  • Direct image processing for media titles is supported.
  • Photo editing and naming programs if required.

Skills:

  • Creative/writing experience with local film and television companies specific to Latin America is preferred.
  • Photography or editorial experience. Good knowledge of Adobe Suite including Photoshop and Lightroom is preferred.
  • Previous production/editing experience. Experience with digital asset management and/or content management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end tasks without supervision. Ability to give constructive feedback when needed.
  • Attention to detail, problem solving and good communication skills are essential. Good to have: Design experience.
