Based in our Berlin office, this role is part of the business and legal affairs team and will focus on supporting Netflix’s growing list of original scripted series, non-fiction and animated film content. in German. Head of Commercial and Legal Affairs based in Amsterdam.
The candidate will assist in the development of our German language content project, working with creative partners to coordinate content development and production transactions. In doing so, the candidate will be responsible for understanding the legal framework and culture of production, and implementing Netflix’s strategy as necessary to develop and create local content for the global Netflix platform.
In particular, the analyst will be involved in the negotiation of production contracts for the program or local production partners or directly with the skills and representatives, as well as overseeing business and legal matters during production. The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience of legal issues related to contracts and production in the German film and television market across the board. The job requires knowledge of the legal complexities of the German media industry, creative thinking, rationality, the ability to work together in a team and adaptability to turn quickly into a strategy.
Is Required:
The successful candidate will be accepted to practice law in Germany and have extensive experience in Germany in the legal and commercial aspects of production.
Fluency in English and German are prerequisites for this position. Strong communication skills (coverage, honesty)
