The Unity – UX Gaming Software Engineer works as a bridge between UX design, artists and programmers. They ensure that the UX design and content are well implemented, respecting the artistic vision and technical constraints of the project. Main function/function
Work with UX/UI designers, artists and programmers to design and implement high-performance UX and integrate it into the engine as designed.
Find creative solutions to problems such as gaining specific skills, special effects, and improving game performance
Provide support to designers, artists and engineers regarding the implementation, operation and verification of assets
Analyze creative processes and identify opportunities for tool improvement
Work with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality
Work with other disciplines and senior engineers to define technical specifications prior to implementation
Maintain in-depth knowledge of programming languages, game engine features, platforms, frameworks, and APIs required to support the game’s functionality(s).
Develop UI/UX art pipeline tools and extensions with an eye for usability and performance
Find difficult technical problems and useful UI/UX pipelines
Work with designers, artists, engineers and testers to identify and solve in-game problems
Work with technical teams to improve their processes
Maintain ongoing communication with peers in all departments
Skills and abilities
Strong programming skills in a development environment are essential
Advanced rendering in the Unity engine – UI, graphics, animations, animations, value system, physics system, shaders, timeline, etc.
Ability to carefully review code through a thorough review process
Strong knowledge of production engines
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with other artists, designers and engineers
A strong desire to adapt and improve poor processes
At least 2 years of Unity game development experience and software engineering work in C#
