The Game Studio Tech Lab team is a small, dynamic team focused on creating experimental and creative games to implement and refine Netflix’s new technology investments that will make Netflix a great place for games of all kinds. These special projects are designed to reveal and support what is possible with these new technologies and services, while working directly with the partner team to ensure quality development that allows producers to focus on entertainment. R&D artists work in small senior teams made up of many talented game developers. As well as creating 2D and 3D art and animation. The ideal candidate is a professional and can contribute to a wide range of game creative visions through effective and direct support to numerous game projects.
Successful applicants are highly skilled artists who can create a variety of assets, environments, and visual effects. With in-depth knowledge of game development and how assets affect runtime performance in compatible engines such as Unity and Unreal, you can work with the various images, both 3D and 2D. In this role, the emphasis should be on speed and change rather than grinding and polishing. In this role, speed and power are more important than level of success.

Responsibility
- Visual development: There is good vision of many small models. Create a cheerful and visually rich environment that helps illuminate your design.
- Prototyping: Work with technical experts and designers to prototype and experiment with prototypes to create effective and efficient 3D, 2D scenes, animated content, visual effects and UI elements in 3D and 2D.
- Art Direct and Outsourcing Management: There are times when it is appropriate to outsource asset development. Manage these relationships and provide feedback from a creative perspective.

- 5+ years of experience as a game designer delivering at least one AAA game, casual or mobile.
- Experience rapid prototyping, create assets for use in-game while testing new ideas
- Work closely with technologists, engineers and designers to bring your project vision to life
- Strong visual arts skills with experience and understanding of 3D and 2D scene and asset creation, visual effects, modeling, shading, optimization, texturing and lighting for the ‘activity.
- Ability to work in multiple art forms, sometimes simultaneously
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with various game engine technologies such as Unity and Unreal
- Interested in creating a video game, particularly fast, focused, small compared to many years of investment
- Perception and functional awareness of visual differences
- Artistic skills, including developing assets and identifying shadows and objects. History of collaborating with tech artists
