Full Job Description:
The Control Manager will work on developing machines and systems concepts with multiple engineering peers in manufacturing. The candidate must develop a solid architecture to support the idea. After completing the electrical panel, it will organize all the control elements such as PLC, security devices, HMI, servo drives, processing hardware and robots, from power-on to debug, and finally to organize the configuration and support available better.
The control engineer will also work with the functional team during the product and process life cycle. He/she will work closely with Product Design Engineering, Quality, Production and Maintenance to bring products from initial design, through prototype development and finally into full production.
Building infrastructure development:
Participate in the initial development of equipment concepts and carefully adjust product specifications, process control requirements, layout complexity, cost, quality and time. Design, write and debug PLC ladder logic with an emphasis on creating structured, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable code. PLC code must interact with systems such as warehouses, robots, manufacturing automation systems (MES), machine vision, and other equipment. Implement a reliable safety management system (ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA certified) to protect robots, gantries, conveyors, and other high-tech manufacturing equipment.
Create simple HMI screens for complex machines while providing comprehensive feedback for troubleshooting. Introduce automation into production and train and train production teams to support them when they are put into production
Create machine relationships with the manufacturing process management system (MES) to communicate product acceptance, machine status, and process changes.
Automatic equipment updates are now available:
Implement and optimize automated processes to increase cycle time, improve availability and integration. Create and validate automated processes using data-driven methods such as simulation, statistical capability and capability testing (quick testing and repeatability testing, Cpk, etc.)
Development and implementation of assembly methods
Establish data management and tracking of the communications network industry and interface with functional teams for effective product, process and traceability management implementation.

Expertise in system integration in electronic / mechatronic systems

Advanced skills in industrial infrastructure programs:
Safety PLC (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
Human Resources (HMI / GUI – Allen Bradley, Siemens & Ignition)
Fieldbus network (Ethernet IP, ProfiNet, passive bus network)
Ethernet communication between hardware controllers and data storage systems
Demonstrated excellence in risk management programs. Must have a well-defined process for maintaining code structure and organization. The ability to configure state machines for complex processes that include individual port configuration, automatic source selection, data acquisition, and PID control. Acquired ability to design fault-tolerant systems through control and recovery. Programs and skill replacement of frequent translators
Display and various manufacturing machines, industrial sensors and equipment (LVDT and pressure transmitters, distribution systems, temperature controllers, DC screwdriving torque controllers, current and power meters, etc.)
Programming experience in Cartesian, SCARA and robotics as required (Fanuc, Kuka, Motoman, Epson)
Achieve product and process changes from prototype to production demand
Open travel up to 25% of the year on the Tesla site, making installation and engagement for members of the transit system seamless.
