The PS&O team is looking for a highly motivated, work-focused individual with in-depth knowledge of live production services, tools and platforms, including demonstrated experience in providing whitewash and post-production support. This unique and exciting opportunity will affect the future of production supported by high-end technology, as the next generation in our publishing houses and content creators around the world. With a proven track record in the production / post-production landscape, you can understand the complex workflows from filming to post-production and the ability to communicate with filmmakers, understand the different production-specific tasks and departments and how they working together. In addition to extensive project experience, you also have advanced engineering training. The MPS Support Specialist will be the on-air manager for the automated production software we offer on Netflix. This role will be responsible for monitoring all pipelines, reporting and troubleshooting, and ensuring internal and external communication is handled for any issues that arise. Therefore, the right person will understand the production and post-production workflow, as well as the sensitivity and speed of the production needs, and will be able to get under the cover of our tools and problems when the work has problems. A “Gee with Swagger” if you will. Someone who is very technical and engineering, but also has a track record of being confident and communicating directly with customers.

Your role will include working with studio, product, engineering, Netflix staff and teams working directly on production. Therefore, you will need the ability to manage expectations, multitask, and demonstrate common sense to know when to raise team issues.

Your main duties are:

Explore all Media Production Suite’s automated file transfer and transcoding programs
Quickly understand all issues reported by an end user and manage your communication with that end user throughout its lifecycle
Ensure that Netflix production tools receive timely support when problems arise
Perform initial troubleshooting to try to resolve simple issues as quickly as possible
Manage triage and escalation for more difficult cases until later
Ensure that all reported issues, which have been flagged for production unlocking, are escalated to product status for future priority.
