The Commercial Store Manager (SMIT) position is a development-focused job designed to prepare you for a CVS store management position.
The SMIT program is designed to advance your career as a future store manager. We support your development into a Store Manager role by participating in collaborative training over a 16-week period.
We provide a rich and hands-on learning experience to develop you as a leader. Our team, who support your growth in your leadership role, include: Your Regional Manager, Human Business Partner, Training Store Manager and your Store Management Coach.
Some of the skills required for this job are:
• Communicates effectively orally and in writing to support and guide your team. • Work with customer service to provide a high level of service.
• Complete marketing strategies to support market growth. • Manage store inventory and equipment to maintain profitability.

We expect from our SMIT:
• Engage with your active mentor in valuable learning experiences to support you on your way to advancement during a structured program.
• Support your store as a member of management and conduct it in accordance with CVS values and standards. • Engage your colleagues in supporting the company’s mission of “helping people on their way to better health”.
• Be prepared to use the market in which you work to do promotional work.
Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion to store management status. Whether and when you are promoted to Store Manager is based on a variety of criteria, including but not limited to opening performance and availability.
