Merchandising Execution Associates: All Merchandising Execution Associates (MEAs) perform in-store merchandising tasks such as merchandising, planning planograms, surface layouts and displays/signs designed to enhance the customer experience. MEA makes marketing plans and ensures that products are well presented to drive sales. MEA works as a team, with on-site supervision and service in many department stores. They focus on overall design, functionality and product development while keeping safety, integrity and performance at the fore. MEA builds and maintains strong relationships with retail partners and provides superior customer service to internal and external customers.
Day-to-day marketing associates (MEAs) spend about 80% of their time working or doing general maintenance, ensuring that products are well stocked and marketed to deliver customer the best shopping experience possible. A, 20% of the time they spend working on special projects designed to improve the way products are presented to customers and our suppliers’ needs.
Night Shift Merchandising Execution Associates (MEA) spend approximately 80% of their time working on a variety of tasks, introducing new products and making organizational changes to improve the customer experience. Typically, 20% of the time they spend building displays and installations is spent using basic hand tools in addition to refreshing displays/signs/brochures. General maintenance of the bay will be necessary from time to time. At night MEAs may be part of a traveling staff serving multiple stores, often within a 30 mile radius.
