Prime Air is seeking a Certified Operations Officer (DO) to ensure that all Prime Air operations are conducted safely and in compliance with Federal Trade Regulations (FAA), Special Operations and Air Force regulations. the company. This role reports to the Senior Director of Drone Delivery.

The ideal candidate should have a thorough knowledge of Section 135 labor regulations and the ability to lead and support a team with effective work.

Important Role

  • Responsible for creating company flight operations policies, procedures and systems focused on safety, security and quality.
  • Responsible for maintaining aircraft standards and operations in accordance with all applicable regulations, including FAA and DOT regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control systems are maintained for all flight operations.
  • Monitor, distribute and maintain company manuals, procedures, updates and documentation requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring competent and qualified personnel, delivering and managing the work.
  • Responsible for driver training and maintenance.
  • Responsible for communication and coordination with other departments, including security and compliance, to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Chief Pilot and Maintenance Officer regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the development, design and implementation of the budget.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with the FAA
  • Other obligations required or provided for by law.

Qualification

  • You must hold a transport pilot license.
  • Commercial drone experience preferred
  • Complete understanding of aviation security standards and operational security.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience within the last 6 years in a position where you exercised managerial control over all operations carried out by the airline pursuant to Section 121 or Section 135
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and manage effective and efficient teams
  • A bachelor’s degree in aviation, business or a related field is preferred, but not required.
