Full Job Description:
Tesla Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a workplace specialist, Space Planning, to join a workplace team at Gigafactory Nevada. You will be responsible for assisting in maintaining employee, location data and vacancy comparisons for the Tesla Workplace site. The successful candidate will have strong business acumen, effective communication, proven AutoCAD skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What to do
Acts as the primary point of contact to manage and resolve vacancy requests.
Arrange and attend meetings with applicants to discuss, review and record vacancy requests. Keep floor plans in AutoCAD, Revit, Illustrator, OfficeSpace and other tools
You can easily analyze the results and compare the data in many competitive requirements, analyze the domino effect and the critical requirements in the fast environment.
Connect with OfficeSpace to update general building plans, keep track of manufacturing and lab space allocations, etc. Create a system migration/replacement plan.
Complete scenario planning and fit testing required to initiate design and construction requests. Attending scheduling meetings at the workplace.
Assign new staff seats every week and assign staff. Reserve a seat for the new seat service.
Support workplace groups and vendors with on-site floor plans necessary for movement and accommodation planning. Organize and supervise vendors for furniture moves and rearrangements as needed.
Create a conceptual floor map for finding ways and places of work to support applicants within and outside the work group. Train users with Office Space administrative access on the basics of usage and provide support.
Provide fit testing, furniture planning, blocking and assembly planning. Update as-built drawings by conducting site visits and field measurements as required. May require walking long distances, climbing stairs, visiting confined spaces and/or standing for long periods of time. Communicate requests and projects regularly to the Space Planning team.
Collaborate on planning with builders and contractors. Schedule meetings and communicate regularly with on-site contacts regarding restructuring, office changes, desk operations, and floor plan restructuring.
Help with the selection of furniture, fixtures and fittings.
