Full Job Description:
Equipment specialist to support Disneyland Resort (DLR) tours and amenities testing. The cast member will lead specialized testing and application efforts to support functional testing, capability enhancements, upgrade enhancements, performance optimizations, and overall system enhancements. This effort will require close collaboration with Cast from DLR Services, Engineering Services (Maintenance), Engineering and the project management team. Communication and planning skills are essential to ensure that solutions address the problems and requirements identified by end users and stakeholders. A variety of test equipment will be used and maintained including test equipment, data loggers, pressure sensors, gauges and multimeters. The equipment specialist will report to the manager, ride and show engineers.
You will be:
On a daily basis, as a working professional, you can:
Conduct experiments and collect data on films and equipment both in the field and in a laboratory environment.
Responsible for planning, scheduling, executing and coordinating the technical and administrative aspects of all tests. Provide timely, clear and concise communication to managers, clients, partners and team members about operational status and impact on resort availability.
Provide recommendations, along with recommended practices and recommended measures, for improving testing services, safety and performance. Prepare scopes, plans, and reports (for example, functional tests and performance tests) and analyze data and write audit reports.
Assist in the maintenance, inventory and configuration of test equipment hardware and software. Comply with existing company, state and federal codes of practice, policies and regulations.
Travel can support work
This candidate will be expected to work various shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) to accommodate testing schedules and support troubleshooting requests. Develop/create project plans and schedules, and provide updates to project managers and engineering management.
Respond to critical downtime by quickly responding to engineering needs and service needs. Collaborate with other engineering teams on design efforts.
Engineering Assistance and Engineering Services and Resources attract problems. Always work on trust improvement efforts.
Work weekends/holidays to support projects/films when necessary.
You will have:
General testing and troubleshooting experience.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Experience working in electrical circuit troubleshooting at voltage levels up to 480V.
Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical safety NFPA, NFPA70, 70E Arc Flash. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Knowledge and experience of troubleshooting electrical equipment, including:
VFD (Variable Doctor) motor generator
Circuit breakers (classifications are long-time, short-time and earth fault)
Transformers Y Transformer or Delta Transformer
Electric generator
Electrical test equipment
Ground fault troubleshooting experience
5+ years demonstrated experience in a technology, testing, design and/or manufacturing environment.
General Skills:
Multiple projects/tasks can be scheduled at the same time.
Able to communicate technical ideas in writing and verbally with peers and non-technical and management. Using email and Microsoft Office software.
