Full Job Description:

What do you want to do in this role? Our forklift drivers are responsible for moving inventory from one area to another within the warehouse area. It loads and unloads different types of shipments and can use certain equipment such as stand-up, sit-down or gripper forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Our environment is team-oriented, fast-paced and safety-focused. We move the things people want and need. At DHL, it will become an important part of your daily life.

Main duties:

  • We use various types of forklifts or other electrical equipment to load, unload, move, store and organize products and materials on 80% of our shifts.
  • Remove items and prepare for shipment to ensure accuracy and type of shipment.
  • Maintain proper inventory accuracy records and information. Meets all OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Check the actual load. Check load calculations, stability and damage and report discrepancies as needed.
  • Replace mechanical batteries or LPG tanks as needed and monitor power.
  • Keep equipment and supplies clean, tidy and organized. Physical support.
  • Full daily supplies.

Training and experience required:

  • Complete forklift operator license or forklift training within first 30 days of employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months warehouse preference
  • 6 months of forklift driving experience
