The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AMT) is a key TechOps role at Delta. In this role, you will manage the correct and safe operation of Delta aircraft to provide a comfortable travel experience for your customers. AMT maintains aircraft, aircraft engines, aircraft components and avionics to Delta and FAA specifications. Perform inspections during assembly of products and after repair or installation of products. Data protection processes include destruction, evidence and disease. Summary of Responsibilities (excluding all duties):
- We carry out all our work in accordance with laws, regulations, standards, safety procedures and procedures designed to ensure our safety and the safety of others.
- Airworthiness is assured by inspecting the aircraft or aircraft components, such as landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines, for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear.
- Recommend replacement, repair or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection. Report any problems, malfunctions, improper wear or damage to the appropriate person, if applicable.
- Install, remove, or modify model aircraft, machinery, or equipment based on drawings, schematics, diagrams, engineering decisions, and publications.
- Repairs worn, defective or damaged parts or components (such as damaged seals, cables and connectors, cables and pulleys) using hand tools, gauges and measuring tools.
- Completed work is reviewed to confirm that maintenance meets standards and procedures and that the aircraft is operationally ready. Interpret discrepancies or reports (written or verbal) to understand the history and nature of the problem, resolve it, and identify appropriate next steps (such as correction, delay, change).
- Researches, reads and interprets technical manuals and instructions to assess, organize, repair or perform other tasks. Review maintenance records to ensure that services and maintenance, repairs and upgrades are completed on time.
- Maintain a maintenance log documenting all aircraft maintenance and repair operations. Act as an expert or mentor by providing advice and recommendations to others.
- We use computers, computer systems and other technologies to enter, write, access, receive or send information. The minimum starting hourly wage for this position is $40.73, with a maximum possible hourly wage of $41.32.
- The ability to achieve the maximum hourly rate is dependent on several other charges (for example, including but not limited to, aircraft and engine licenses, differentials, different parking location, on-site maintenance, different line and different skills).
