Full Job Description:

Southeast Hub Cost Center Accounting is a team of process and accounting professionals who provide accounting services to the Walt Disney Company (including Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and corporate divisions).

Work:

Participate in quarterly reporting processes, including organizing journal entries, preparing account communications, and assisting with ad hoc media requests.

Prepare and analyze financial results of business lines and segments

Apply knowledge and understanding of financial accounting principles and US GAAP to our business processes and procedures

Review and provide answers to questions from partners and departments we serve

Work ad hoc in support of organizations and companies

Basic Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in public or private accountability

An understanding of the policies, procedures and key functions of the Accounting and Finance Department and the Administrative Services Department

Understanding and ability to demonstrate the principles and procedures of generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) and financial reporting.

Demonstrated computer skills in Excel, including pivot tables, V view, H view, macros.

Demonstrated relationship building skills and highly professional “customer orientation”

Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills

Social power and organization

Good communicator both orally and in writing

flexible “special work” orientation and strong multi-tasking capabilities

Ability to work effectively and independently

Eligibility of candidates:

A CPA or CPA candidate

3+ years of accounting experience, including involvement in the closing process, preparation and/or audit

Experience with SAP or other business accounting systems
