The Business Intelligence (BI) – Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for delivering, creating and supporting effective visual reports, mobile data and dashboards. BI engineers work closely with end customers and product owners to assess business needs and create data views and dashboards to help Costco run its business more efficiently. Responsibilities include providing appropriate advice to end users regarding incident management and incident and/or error reporting.

Responsibility:
- Design and build solutions in Microsoft Power BI based on business needs.
- Design and create semantic models in Azure Research Services for use in BI and self-service.
- Provided expertise in data visualization and report creation.
- Involved in legacy tools for Power BI upgrade and migration project.
- Defined and followed the Power BI development process.
- Work closely with Product Owners and development teams to ensure code execution.
- Managed and promoted existing business intelligence.
- Focus on MS Azure solutions and maintain knowledge of industry standards, practices and future product releases.
- Teach other developers to get the most out of the tool.
Important:
- 3+ years of experience building complex data, dashboard and dashboard applications. ● 5+ years of experience with MS Power BI and/or Azure Analysis Services (AAS).
- 3+ years of experience with SQL with a proven ability to write efficient queries.
- 2+ years of experience with Cognos, BOBJ or other BI tools including Tableau.
- Experience in creating reports on various databases, including Oracle, HANA and SQL Server databases.
- Strong problem solving and data analysis skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and complete project deliverables on time.
- Good writing and communication skills.
- Good understanding of data structure.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests.
