Costco is looking for a Quality Analyst to support quality across all specific categories/documents/applications. This is a new team at Costco and supports our business goals by being fast, efficient, and leading the business in this space. Quality analysts work with quality engineers and are responsible for validating what works and what doesn’t as a team. Quality Analysts perform software/web testing, debugging, developing, modifying and implementing software strategies to ensure the quality of data and deliverables. Responsibility

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of work, integration, system, end-to-end and acceptance plans.
  • Create, create and approve (or oversee the creation and approval) of test documents, scripts, events and QA related documents.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with software design best practices, policies, procedures and controls related to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Create and communicate the accuracy estimate based on the dependency analysis as requested by the project/management team.
  • Review and determine audits, including QA environment, QA tools, training, development and delivery plans, and communication processes.
  • Identify key business concepts, participate in requirements gathering, provide requirements and design information, and evaluate requirements for testing, information clarity, purpose, ambiguity basis, l inconsistency and implementation.
  • Design, document and implement a defect management process.
  • Ensure that test data can be traced back to the original history/requirements and that the test measures all functional requirements and/or people acceptance process used.
  • Manage defects by providing, monitoring and providing timely communication throughout the defect lifecycle.
  • Implemented a QA risk management process that defines and differentiates risks, defects and issues throughout the test planning phase.
  • Assist members in developing and improving the skills needed to manage application and equipment ideas.
  • Identify and resolve potential problems before they arise or develop. Develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Created and executed software test strategies, test plans and test scripts.
  • Create and maintain product quality documentation and test procedures.
  • Maintain an automated and integrated test system for the given product.
  • Support projects, operations or teams in quality control projects for their areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in the development of new or improved practices and procedures or standards.

Importance:

  • 2+ years of experience in C# design and development (Java allowed).
  • 2+ years of development in a written language.
  • 2+ years of experience writing SQL queries and testing backend stored procedures.
  • 2+ years of experience using automation tools such as Ranorex, Jenkins, SauceLabs, Splunk, Selenium, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile testing methods and best practices.
  • Communication, collaboration, reporting, analysis and problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment.
  • Teamwork and self-assessment to continuously find better ways of working. advice
