Design, build, test and deliver industry-leading solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide, driving value from data
Collaborate with the Sam’s Club engineering team across all geographies to improve skills and contribute to the technology sector.
Collaborate with product and business management to drive your goals, set priorities, and deliver compelling product features to keep the platform at the forefront of the market. Identify the right open source tools to deliver product functionality by conducting research, POC/Pilot and/or interacting with various open source communities.
Develop and/or help implement initiatives that improve data compliance at Sam’s Club
Submit and review products on cloud platforms
Develop and implement best practices to ensure data applications meet SLAs
Guide the team with technology for the end-to-end lifecycle.
What to bring:
3 years of Big Data development experience
2 years of experience with GCP / Azure cloud platforms
2 years of experience building streaming pipelines using Spark Streaming or similar. Demonstrates innovative skills in data engineering, creating complex data pipelines
Conceptualize, design, develop, implement and troubleshoot distributed data processing pipelines that process big data; focusing on scalability, low latency and fault tolerance in every system built.
Data presentation and management (data quality, metadata management, security, etc.)
Experience in Java, Scala and/or Python to write data pipelines at the data processing level
Demonstrates expertise in writing complex and extremely large datasets
Demonstrated expertise working with Big Data Technologies Spark Scala/PySpark and SQL
Knowledge and experience of Kafka, Storm, Druid and Presto
