The AMP Video Partners engineering team is looking for a Live Stream Engineer to join the support team. Our services enhance the Apple TV app experience on Apple platforms and third-party TVs. You will contribute to architectural discussions, develop effective solutions and participate in team development and knowledge building. You will become a registered expert in receiving and sending live content. Gather high-level project requirements, lead and lead cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality software. You will join a team working in streaming engineering that promotes inclusion, creativity and efficiency. We provide efficient, high-quality solutions that deliver the best-in-class live streaming experience in the Apple TV app ecosystem.
Important Skills
- Proven experience in video engineering
- Experts in HLS encoding/streaming and DRM services
- Excellent RESTful API development and abstraction
- Good understanding of data exchanges (XML, JSON)
- A thorough understanding of social media
- Good understanding of HLS encoding technology
- Familiarity with SCTE-35/104 and SCTE-224/ESNI
- Easy to use command line tools (chmod, curl, grep, sudo, tail…)
- This role requires after-hours and weekend support.
