The right to head
3+ years of engineering/or technical experience (EE or RF preferred) and good logical skills. Experience in test equipment design and/or automation design is preferred
Knowledge of data analysis (python, R, VBA, Tableau) is desirable.
Exceptional organizational, multitasking and management skills
Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written
Willingness and ability to travel abroad up to 25%

The CapEx team of Apple’s iPhone Operations sits at a unique intersection of manufacturing, engineering and finance, allowing people to get a broad overview of the iPhone’s launch. The group plays a major role in finding ways to improve the manufacturing process by discovering and implementing new ways to design, manage and purchase the materials used in the production of iPhones.
This demanding and urgent work requires different skills: engineering, data and operational knowledge to identify opportunities; working with various teams, from engineering to marketing, to influence job opportunities; and technical, program-oriented program management programs to ensure successful implementation of opportunities. A CapEx member has the potential to bring significant benefits to Apple’s bottom line!
The work includes the following main tasks:
– Understand the technical aspects of equipment / stations in the iPhone industry to identify cost / space optimization opportunities
– Be proficient in data analysis to identify and analyze process related opportunities.
– Be a real relationship builder and lead team working on opportunity contracts. – Know how to organize work, including scheduling, team and motivation, and be able to think several steps ahead to reduce risk.
– Good in numbers, such as being able to calculate returns on investments and budgets. – Briefly inform the management team of the general condition of the equipment
– International travel to support initial project planning and execution
