Full Job Description:

The Engineer II is responsible for end-to-end application, system development, and maintenance on medium to medium-complex technology platforms within a customer group, business unit, or organization.

Key duties may include, but are not limited to:

Write good, clean code with limited guidelines and ensure best practices are followed. Engage with internal and/or external partners to better understand business needs.

Analyzes and processes semi-complex change requests and identifies and documents possible system code improvements. Participates in the development of the scope and objectives of the application and the preparation of technical and / or technical specifications.

Codes and maintains complex parts of information systems. Builds and performs system tests and fixes defects discovered during testing and repeats unit tests to validate results.

BA / BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study and a minimum of one year of platform experience; or any combination of education and experience, which will provide equivalent training.

Preferred skills, abilities and experience:

Experience with multiple databases, languages ​​or multiple businesses

3 years of experience deploying and managing cloud-based infrastructure using OpenShift or AWS from K8

Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and architecture (AWS / OpenShift from K8)

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and virtualization technologies

Knowledge of shipping technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Professional troubleshooting and ability to work with development teams to solve problems

Strong verbal and written communication

Experience with Docker and containerized applications

Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and CI/CD tools

Experience with source control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP

Experience with microservices and API integration

Experience with automation and scripting using tools such as Terraform
