They are Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer Ravi Varma, Senior Vice President, Safety and Security Management, and Chief Operating Officer Safety. This group is located within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) and is responsible for identifying and managing risk across all American Express processes and territories. Candidates will help develop, implement and evaluate various initiatives for the Office of Security and Oversight. This person will be called upon to collaborate with the management team on business plans and initiatives and to have special projects. Employees must also provide a broad understanding and leadership perspective for various business initiatives. This position requires flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly in a vacuum, including the ability to manage ad-hoc projects that arise as the business needs to improve while assessing new challenges. other important factors.
Activities include:
- Collaborate with senior management and the leadership team on business plans and initiatives.
- Own and manage special projects. Work closely with the Security Department Security Manager to demonstrate diversity as needed and/or take ownership of GRC-wide initiatives.
- Operational and managerial support for AXP’s Chief Business Risk Committee
- Ensure internal coordination of major ongoing audits, reviews and management meetings for global risk management and oversight functions.
- Effective interaction with GORO and GRC committees (e.g. Global Compliance and Integrity, Global Corruption and Security Standards and GRC Operations, Privacy and Legal and Regulatory Life) to identify, prioritize and resolve issues. – Creation and coordination of content/processes for major meetings (including board, committees, rules, divisional reviews, etc.)
- Prepare presentations, ad hoc reviews and coordination of all office functions. Manage finances and employee performance.
- Manage collaborative teamwork across all stores that builds morale and team spirit.
- Collaborate with partners on integrated strategies on all aspects of Annual Performance Management (PMP) and performance appraisal.
