Functions:
Work within a core team, either as a senior technical contributor or leading a small SRE team responsible for developing solutions and templates for reuse across the business.
Implement software development practices to develop monitoring, alerting, hunting, automation, and self-healing capabilities to maintain a high level of platform. Improve the performance and improve the reliability of the resource collection.
Enhancing the new environment and continuous improvement, driving changes improve the efficiency of existing engineering and delivery systems. Lead experiments and proof of concepts of new open source technologies to address monitoring, testing and recovery.
Implement automatic left shift testing to prevent defects from reaching output
Ensure critical subsystems, microservices, databases and external calls meet advanced requirements. Provide direction for major technical changes and critical peer review of production improvements
Champion and drive the organization’s development efforts for performance testing, crash testing, and application evaluation optimization and resiliency capabilities.
Experience/Skills:
Experience working with Java, Go (Golang) or similar languages and a strong desire to learn new languages. Expertise in coding and scripting skills (Terraform/Confirmation), knowledge of CICD tools (Jenkins, Gitlab and Artifacti), experience in monitoring/preparation/documentation solutions (Splunk, GCP Stackdriver, etc.)
Experience as an SRE in a public cloud environment with experience in designing and developing cloud citizen applications. Experience with Kubernetes is a plus. High level of technical expertise, covering a wide range of technologies (e.g. platform providers including Prometheus, Consul, Vault, ELK and infrastructure platforms including cloud, networking and security)
Hands-on experience building and improving small distributed systems. Experience with Mesh Service products is a plus. Recognizing the challenges of distributed systems working with Java, Go (Golang) or similar languages and a strong desire to learn new languages. Expertise in coding and scripting skills (Terraform/Confirmation), knowledge of CICD tools (Jenkins, Gitlab and Artifacti), experience in monitoring/preparation/documentation solutions (Splunk, GCP Stackdriver, etc.)
