How can you make an impact on this project? As a campus infrastructure engineer, based in Argentina, you will be part of a regional team, working with infrastructure engineers to deliver automated and scalable network infrastructure according to the standards of the American Express network, and collaboration with the Network Service Center to support activities and assist members of the community in network resource renewal programs. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about solving problems and learning new technologies. Work with infrastructure engineers on network device selection and design processes against American Express standards
Configure and configure network infrastructure according to American Express standards
Configure network resources and processes
Connect with the Operations Center to troubleshoot network issues as needed
Supports network infrastructure upgrades, infrastructure refreshes and maintenance programs as required
Create technical/implementation documentation
Work with vendor partners to install, configure, test and support network solutions
Must be in the office two days a week
Must work every day on birthday
Travel 10-20%
Minimum Qualifications:
Scripting languages and configuration management tools like Python, Ansible
Development tools (Git, Jira, Bit Bucket)
Best practices for network security
2+ years of experience building and maintaining large data networks
Basic knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
Basic knowledge of switching and switching technologies such as Spanning Tree, 802.1Q, Port-Channel, 802.1x, QoS, VXLAN, SVI and experience with multicast
Understanding of NetFlow and Slow
Strong knowledge of IP, including TCP and UDP
Sniffer/capture tools like Wireshark
Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches
Experience with Arista Network Transformation
Experience with router platforms and Layer 3 switches
Good understanding of security infrastructure such as Palo Alto, Cisco PIX, ASA firewalls and TAPs
Must be willing to learn new technology to be able to adapt to the environment quickly, depending on the role
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to communicate with all levels of peers, clients and management
