Full Job Description:
American Express Travel Related Services is looking for a Senior Engineer to serve as the head of an engineering team to develop digital and automated solutions for our customers. Develop and design software applications, translating user needs into system design. Review and support application performance and equipment system installation and provide process diagrams. Test the technical compensation of software and automation equipment. Analyze and coordinate research and development of user reports to improve software solutions. Add visualization and other techniques to speed up thinking. System redesign and code for continuous updates.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related STEM field, with 5 years of consecutive software management, development, testing and implementation experience. Experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience analyzing business needs and developing solutions; and 1 year experience in Big Data, CHANGEMAN, COBOL, DB2, FileAid, Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, IMS DB/DC, Java, JCL, Mainframe, Map Reduce, Shell Scripting, SQL, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and UNIX. Telecommuting is available across the United States.
