How can you make an impact on this project? The Paralegal is responsible for conducting legal research on legal matters, overseeing and supporting colleagues, developing colleagues to ensure quality work, communication with licensees, and general management support. Under the supervision of the Manager & Advisor, he will:
Conduct legal research on escalated legal requests, as required. Review and review laws and court orders as required for the development of legal regulations.
Works under the supervision of an attorney, supporting the production of complex subpoenas. Prepare responses to non-routine or escalated legal inquiries as required.
Ensure that the third party’s legal obligations meet the requirements of federal and state privacy laws. Find non-current documents that meet legal requirements.
Arrange for delivery of documents to Amex representatives required to appear in court and confirm transaction records. Management and mentor support as needed.
Review and forward legal requests to manager and advisor if necessary. Actively leads a team of legal professionals who coordinate other legal acts.
Effectively manage the work and productivity of legal professionals. Advise on doubts in the decision or execution of legal requests.
Provide coaching and feedback for quality, performance improvement and development. Ensure that documents are delivered on the date agreed upon for production with the supplier or obtain an extension.
Review the quality of work to ensure accuracy and quality in accordance with existing procedures and standards. Communicate and respond to policy requestors directly by phone or email regarding the status of escalated policy requests.
Send usage packages via secure email to providers as needed. Maintain the confidentiality of information from legal requests or other information provided by issuers.
Contribute to the development or updating of specific company procedures to improve the organization of legal regulations. Support and collaborate with management on projects to improve data analysis and organizational structure to enhance and improve regulatory frameworks.
Manage Amex’s risks, policies, policies and controls and quickly identify and report on legal or operational issues and controls. Provide feedback to management regarding improvements, team results, or any process in the regulatory process.
