This core team is responsible for risk management across all global customers, across all customer and business segments, and across all global products. Build business-driven data capabilities, create effective operational decisions, develop predictive models based on machine learning, and improve customer service strategies.
Our decision research team uses business modeling and AI practices to predict customer behavior. Develop, deploy, and implement predictive models to support decision-making in credit, fraud, marketing, and best services, and encourage the use of models in business impression logic.
This role includes some of the following responsibilities.
Work with lots of digital data (web, apps, APIs) and smart tools in our Big Data business. Build NLP-based solutions by analyzing business problems to collect training data, analyze data, model, validate, and deliver NLP models.
- Create everything from simple menus to advanced learning models and algorithms to improve your customers’ online experience and mobile apps.
- Work with product owners to develop new products and content with a data-driven approach
- Work with technology partners to test, implement and provide prototype solutions for production systems. Introduce new techniques to develop customer behavior insights and turn complex behavioral data into meaningful insights.
- Use the power of the closed loop with the Amex Network to make better, more informed decisions.
- Innovation with a focus on creating new and better ways to use big data and machine learning solutions
Eligibility:
Masters/PhD in various fields (computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, operations research, etc.) with experience in the use of analytical skills and machine learning. A PhD in NLP with practical experience is a strong advantage. Proficiency in an analytical language (Python, R or equivalent) and experience with databases (Hive, SQL or equivalent). Knowledge of SAS is a plus, but not required. Strong understanding of machine learning/statistical algorithms such as deep learning and reinforcement learning. Data visualization is better
Demonstrated ability to formulate business problems as mathematical problems and to use external (academic and/or other) thinking and tools to develop solutions and provide business insights. Ability to work well in a team environment
