Full Job Description:
Project Kuiper is a low-orbit satellite initiative that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband to underserved or underserved communities around the world.
We are recruiting modem experts to our ASIC design team. The team uses state-of-the-art techniques to create exclusive intellectual property.
Role:
Be part of the Project Kuiper project team responsible for defining and implementing SOC chips for communication between Low Earth Orbit satellites and Amazon gateways. This is a unique opportunity to define a wireless solution with some old rules. The team works with customer requirements and the wireless systems team to define modems, broadband connections, graphics systems and DSP solutions for the latest CMOS technology. In this role, you will:
- Implement silicon radio system architecture, from system specification to chip specification, RTL, chip time/power level analysis optimization.
- Develop solutions that deliver customer benefits (through throughput, latency, and availability) while meeting power and cost constraints. · Lead quality design for first silicon solution and achieve power goal.
- Create a cabinet check to make sure the blocking is correct.
- Collaborate with the validation team and participate in system-level validation using the testbed using UVM, System C and DPI-C. · Work closely with the project team to ensure blocks meet DFT, time and power targets.
- Learn about rules and solutions for systems that operate in space.
- Conduct trade-off analysis to help optimize customer and resources (cost, energy, spectrum).

Due to export regulations and administrative requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, permanent residents of the United States (including current permanent residents), or legal refugees or asylum seekers in the United States.
Important Role:
- Work with architects and engineers to drive hardware microarchitecture. You can define formulas using MATLAB.
- Participate in the design of the control plane logic and the interface with the matrix bus. Discover and share new ideas and work on optimizing your modem.
Qualification
- . Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Communications Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in digital logic design, preferably DSP or communications. love creation
- . Masters or PhD in Electrical/Communication Engineering. 5+ years of digital design experience, preferably in communications
- Knowledge of UVM and Matlab.
