Full Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking to hire a highly motivated, customer service professional to provide support to the Data Center Infrastructure Operations team in the Frankfurt cluster. (Data Center Manager)

As a DSM, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the database, support and execute security projects and programs, and ensure audit compliance with AWS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities: – Lead and manage the contracted security staff to run the day-to-day operations of the data center.

Manage site security breaches, escalations or any other related security issues. Provide after-hours call management support and participate in large-scale emergency response when required.
Participate in frequent data center security audits and inspections. Maintains an established compliance process with AWS policies, regulations, standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
Provides feedback and can develop safety procedures, policies and procedures. Write a report and discuss the management and status of physical security services.
Supervise new construction or safety improvement projects. Manage the security P&L for assigned site(s), assist management in financial analysis and contribute to financial decisions for security requirements.
Collaborate with other organizations to protect users, information, and AWS data resources. Main Functions:

Ability to tour the facility and observe security breaches and physical barriers, security procedures, policies, monitoring equipment and alarm points.
Campaigning to reduce nuisance calls
Experience with process ticketing and generating performance metrics
Investigate accidents, thefts, disturbances, malfunctions
Supervises physical security contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, gate construction, gate maintenance, fencing and access control.
Integrate global safety initiatives into daily processes to achieve management objectives
Supervises security construction projects
Teach others proper safety procedures and methods

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in security or related field; namely logistics, transportation, infrastructure among others
3+ years of commercial or industrial work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proven to work well in fast-paced environments where multiple systems/apps/software are highly dependent.
Proficiency in speaking and writing in English with full attention to detail
Strong data-driven decision-making and monitoring skills
