Full Job Description:

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Operations Center (SOC) is expanding its services to support the growth of our data center and related security services. We are looking for a security analyst with internal security/Ops experience to join our SOC team. AWS SOC implements a security monitoring and response system and a large security system of security and time-sensitive alarms. Monitoring, response, prosecution and division operations are carried out in collaboration with security forces and international partners. Security auditors are the front-line decision makers who ensure that each response provides the level of oversight necessary to support data center security operations; methods for resolution and/or action of escalations.

A person qualified for this role will be able to work at all levels, from knowledge of physical security principles to practical applications and implementation of processes and procedures. You must have a track record of accomplishments in Office / Dispatch Center, SOC Data Center Security Operations, Physical Security, Customer Service; and have good communication and written skills that can handle many tasks. You must be logical and think critically in order to be able to follow the work and the SOC process with common sense. AWS SOC is a 24/7/365 service and shift work will need to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Main Functions:

As a security analyst, you will use security policies and procedures in accordance with the employment level agreement, policies, standards and operating procedures. You will work within the AWS SOC, responding to security incidents and global security operations. Day-to-day duties include monitoring the hack detection system, submitting global security alerts, sending and escalating responses to security alerts and notifications. You will manage email, phone communications, create and/or manage trouble tickets, manage incoming chats and provide technical support to customers.
